Bank Holiday Walk - plus a meal

Our Bank Holiday Walk was, in total, 5.7671 miles in total.
The map can be viewed at http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5922654.
Evening walk with a meal at the Stanley Arms
This year the weather,for the May Bank Holiday, was sunny and positively warm - well, compared to the weather so far this year.
With only my phone, the number of photographs taken was minimal.
Butterflies were a real sign that weather had improved...

  • Cabbage white;
  • Orange Tip and
  • Small Tortoiseshell
The first part of the walk is one Chris and I have walked a number of times, usually walking to Ormskirk. Today the planned destination was the Stanley Arms for a meal.
If you like real Ale and good traditional pub meals, the Stanley Arms is well worth a visit.
Timothy Taylor!
After the initial 3.5361 miles, a pint of Timothy Taylor was very welcome. Food, as usual, was good and after another pint we set off on the 2.231 miles home.
